Watched Katha Screenplay Darsakatvam Appalraju today morning show @INOX.
Ram Gopal Varma prepares the audience by briefing that this is a tragedy movie before the titles, saying that he promoted this movie as a comedy film just for the sake of getting the public to the movie theater, as the public will not come if it is promoted as a Tragedy movie. This is just to prepare the audience.
The film starts with a theatre scene where Sunil watches a movie in Amalapauram. He gets inspired by watching movies and wants to make a movie with his script. Well, watch the movie on screen...
Well, straight to the point...I feel that the movie is Average. I felt boring some times in certain situations.
Highlights:
- Sunil is the best choice for this story. If it is not Sunil, the movie would be a disaster.
- Sunil’s awesome dance performance especially in the first song and the last final remix song. He is just awesome on screen when making dance moves. I bet, that most of the top heroes now could not dance like that.
- Real-time problems faced by film makers are show nicely.
- Swathi is good and did her part well.
- Satirical characterization about Critics and reviews.
- Songs picturisation is good
Lowlights:
- Slow narration
- Doesn’t feel like Ram Gopal Varma’s movie.
- Comedy is not up to the mark.
- Ravi Teja is wasted.
Well coming to the rating, it is 2.5/5 (This is my personal opinion on this particular movie - U watch the movie and decide for yourself).
