Gaganam
Watched GAGANAM on Sunday. I guess it was the second movie which was shot with RED CAMERA in Telugu after EENADU. My 1st impression after watching the movie was that Nagarjuna should be appreciated for accepting this role, as it is a non-commercial flick. Another one whom I should mention is ‘Dil’ Raju and Prakash Raj for their efforts to make this film on such a scale. Hope it brings good revenue for both of them in Telugu as well as in Tamil.
Well, straight to the point...I feel the movie is good. The tension and tight screenplay maintain the pace of the movie. It is a good idea to make them movie with no songs as songs would have diluted the script to a greater extent.
Highlights:
- Neat Background Score, which creates the required tension for the pace of the screenplay.
- Nagarjuna and Prakash raj and I like the assistant NSG commander to Nagarjuna (Don’t know his name).
- Simple comedy which brings laughs at right moments.
- Guhan’s Cinematography.
- Sentimental scenes and message oriented scenes like the “The Church Father asking for Quran to read as any religion says the same”, “Pakistani kid operated in Chennai and getting back to her country”
Lowlights:
- Bramhanandam is misused (not much need is there for his presence)
- Prithvi for the character of a film hero (May be useful for tamil audience)
Well, coming to the rating, it is 3.25/5 (This is my personal opinion on this particular movie - U watch the movie and decide for yourself).
