Money Money More Money Review

Money money more money

Watched Money money more money today@INOX, ICON Mall

Having pinned hopes for this movie as it is the sequel to the most famous MONEY of RGV and the fame that it has brought to the Khan dada character in the 90’s. It has attracted me to watch the movie and was waiting for this movie for the sole reason that it has Bramhanandam.

The movie starts introducing Khan dada as a real estate businessmen where he loses all his money due to the downfall of the market. The movie is a remake of the Hindi film ‘Darwaja Bandh Rakho’, a film directed by J.D. Chekravarthy himself. The story revolves around four unemployed youths (J.D.Chakravarthy, Brahmaji, Kevin Dev and Mukul Dev) who face severe monetary difficulties. After having had enough, they decide to kidnap a rich man’s daughter to make a quick buck from the girl’s father. The rest of the movie is a series of errors which bring a few smiles to the audiences.

Well, straight to the point...I feel that the movie is Not Good. The Concept is’nt new though, and movies with such wafer thin storyline should have a tight screenplay and planned execution. It seemed like J.D.Chekravarthy just encashed the title just for the business reasons.

Punch line: Kidnap and money
Highlights:
  • Brahmaji’s performance is noteworthy
  • Cinematography is good but could use it well though by the director.
  • A few comedy scenes.

Lowlights:
  • Bad comedy which doesn’t bring smiles at all.
  • Slow movie duration (as there are no songs and fights).
  • Khada dada character has been spoilt to the core. Fans of this character will have a hard time watching bramhanandam.
  • Asha shaini’s and Tamil comedian Jeeva’s characters are a mere waste.
  • I wonder how J.D.Chekrevarthy brought the big player RELIANCE into this movie’s association.

Well coming to the rating, it is 2/5 (This is my personal opinion on this particular movie - U watch the movie and decide for yourself).
