Eega today@LEPL INOX,
Eega
is been in news right from its announcement. After release of the teasers the
entire Telugu film industry got curios about this magnanimous graphics
extravaganza. Everyone was literally waiting for this movie. Though the movie
has been postponed serially, finally EEGA has been on screen yesterday (6th
July, 2012).
Well,
straight to the point...I feel that the movie is Average. The story is a
routine revenge formula known for ages. Villain irks the hero and kills him;
hero gets back to villain in some form and takes revenge on the villain.
Punch
line: Eega effect la Gola
Highlights:
- Production values of Vaarahi Chalanachitram are of top class.
- Cinematography is good. Especially the scenes which includes CG which are very painstaking for the cinematographer. Senthil has tried his best to get this output.
- Sudeep’s Performance. He steals the show in the entire movie. He is very apt for the character.
- Eega obviously.
- Background score is good and gels well with the audience and the narration of the story. Especially in the emotional scenes.
- Visual Effects steals the show (Most of the work done by MAKUTA VFX). Especially with Eega’s mannerisms and emotions.
- Rajamouli's making skills need a special mention.
Lowlights:
- If any big hero had done this film, it would have been a disaster. Nani has very little footage (Approximately 30 mins max)
- Second half is patchy with illogical elements in narration.
- Entertainment quotient is less in the second half. Apart from Nani’s performance and Tagubothu Ramesh's one hilarious scene.
- Though the story has nothing new to offer, Eega is one of a kind movie from Telugu industry which would be talked after. (At National Level for its efforts and making skills)
My Suggestion:
It’s up to you guys. Kids will enjoy the movie for sure.
Well
coming to the rating, it is 3/5 (This is my personal opinion on this particular
movie - U watch the movie and decide for yourself). Another 0.25 can be added
only for Visual effects.
