Life is Beautiful Movie Review

Watched "Life is Beautiful" today@INOX, Gandhinagar

Sekhar Kammula is back with another sensible flick after the powerful “Leader” movie. Though he took two years for making Life is Beautiful, the movie has come out well. May be the casting process would have taken a lot of time as most of the lead characters are fresh faces. All of them suited well for the characters and they have definitely reached the expectations.

Coming to the movie, the movie takes off with Seenu narrating the story. The film is about perspectives of two neighbourhoods with posh and middle class families living in the same region. In today’s clumsy world, people get to live in apartments and colonies. The difference between the Financial barriers were clearly show by Sekhar Kammula. He brought beauty to both sides and perspectives. Sekhar Kammula is known for his subtle and sensible emotions, who gives a lot importance to small details of human relationships. The same continued in 'Life is Beautiful' too. The way he wrote the characterizations are just natural and connects well with the audience.

Well, straight to the point...I feel that the movie is Above Average. The film’s duration is way too big. The second half could have been trimmed a bit. The entertainment quotient is good in the film. Mother sentiment works well towards the end of the film.

Punch line: Life is Beautiful Indeed.

Highlights:
·                     Sekhar Kammula’s Wirting of Characterizations, Dialogues, Subtleness and
his obsession for Teluguness and the importance he gives for Human values
                and
relationships.
·                     Cinematography by Vijay C Kumar is an Eye feast.
·                     All songs are pictured well and they just blend into the narration.
·                     Amala, Shriya and Anjala Zaveri performed well and did justice to
                their respective characters.

Lowlights:
 ·                     Duration of the movie is more.
·                     Background score could have been more intense.
·                     Amala’s character total runtime was felt less.
·                     Few scenes doesn’t have much importance – Flight scene, Beauty pageant
·                     Anjala Zaveri doesn’t have much footage either.
·                     Veturi garu used to write all the songs for Sekhar Kammula’s movies.
His absence can be  clearly present in the songs (Though good work is done
                by Ananth Sriram & Vanamali)
·                     There are a few similarities in this film, with Happy Days movie.

My Suggestion: Watch this movie for Human values & Relationships.  Do mind the length of the film.
Well coming to the rating, it is 3.15/5 (This is my personal opinion on this particular movie - U watch the movie and decide for yourself).
