Raktha Charitra - 2 Review

Seems like I do anything for watching movies. I have an exam on Monday, and it doesn’t even stop me from watching a movie :)

Had a chance to watch Raktha Charitra – 2, today.

Felt like, I liked the second part more than the 1st one.  RC-2 would have been different if it is for another hero apart from Surya. Surya carries the entire movie on his shoulders. We should appreciate Ram Gopal Varma for choosing Surya for ‘Soori’ Character. Surya’s histrionics are so professional. He is dedicated for the character. Seems like he has done his own dubbing for this movie.
Ram Gopal Varma has equally mixed the 1st and 2nd part of the movie. His vision for making this story into two parts is just commercial, and there is no point in making it in two parts. All he achieved by doing this is that he created two movies, two revenues with only one. This reminds me of an old saying in Telugu “Oke debbaki rendu pittalu”. I totally agree with people who say that, Ramu has brilliant marketing skills and strategies.

Well, straight to the point...I feel the movie is good. All those who liked RC – 1, will definitely like the sequel. So go for it...

Highlights:

ü        Awesome Background Score, which adds life to the narration and screenplay.
ü        New Sound effects, especially bullets piercing into bodies and gun shots (One of a kind in Indian cinema).
ü        Exclusive Ramu’s kind of camera framing and camera angles which he is known for. (We don’t see them
          even in Hollywood movies)
ü        Ramu’s dedication for this story making and script design. His commitment to this movie is clearly shown
          on the screen.

Lowlights:

§       Second half’s narration pace was a bit slow when compared to the first half.
§       There are more number of slow motion shots (to be frank, very slow) – but background music for these
        scenes comes to the rescue.
§       The original story has been changed to avoid controversies from the two groups (As Ramu has already
mentioned this as a“Yadhartha Kalpitha Gaadha – A True Fictional Story”)

Well coming to the rating, it is 3.25/5 (This is my personal opinion on this particular movie - U watch the movie and decide for yourself).

Orange Movie Review

Orange : Not SO range love story..

As many people said many things about this movie as Hit, Flop, Average...

I take this oppurtunity to make my own review on this film called ORANGE.
I felt like this movie has a new story line which is never dealt in Telugu screen(For that matter on Indian screen)
The movie is an Urban love story which needs some brains to connect to the story line (It is a big no to the mass audience  apart from the songs and fights).
Hope it connects with the A centres and multiplex audience.
Well, if a movie is to be considered whether it is a hit or a flop based on the Box office collection/response...then we got to wait for a week from  now to know its fate.
There is also no proof that good cinemas always hit the box office..(For ex : Matrudevobhava, Rudraveena,Aapathbhandavudu to name a  few)

Well straiaght to the point...I feel the movie is average coz of the slow pace screenplay.

Highlights :

1) New Story line
2) Ram Charan
3) Music
4) Grandeur of Anjana Productions

Points to be Considered (Dim lights):

1) Felt like there isn't proper lighting in the outdoor sequences (most of the movie is shot
     outdoor) - don't know
whether it  is the projection fault of the theatre, neither do I think so, as I watched in
     INOX..hope they maintain
     all the necessary standards required.

2) Editing could have been crisp and length of the movie is also a pain for such wafer-thin
     story line.

3) Felt as if fights are forefully put into the story as there is no such requirement for the
story - may be this is for
     fans and mass audiences.

3) Felt like Brahmanandam and Vennela Kishore are wasted.
4) Srinivas Avasarala is good in a short brief role.
5) Genelia is cute only in some scenes, her makeup seems patchy
6) Backgroud score could have been much better
Bottom Line : Never compare this movie with either of Bhaskar's or Ram Charan's previous movies and watch this film. (Go with zero expectations)

Well coming to the rating, it is 3.15/5 (This is my personal opinion on this particular movie - U watch the movie and decide for urself)
